I'm sitting in the NC mountains with the family, just finished cleaning the Bushfinger I brought for the weeks trip and started thinking about all you Fiddlebackers. While on the phone with the wonderful Rick Lowe, he mentioned missing some of the Fiddlback Family and wondering what they were up to... So, how are you guys celebrating the 4th?

I'm in Flat Rock, NC, west of Asheville, just relaxing, enjoying the local craft beer scene and being a bum. North Carolina has such beautiful mountains!

Heading down to the national forest to swim in the 72 degree springs, then grilled hot dogs and coho salmon, followed by fireworks over the river with my kids. Happy 4th dude!

Family grill out with BBQ chicken, baked beans, mac 'n cheese (home made) and some cold dessert. Oh yeah and a few cold beers. Happy and safe 4th to every body. Oh yeah the new Bushboot will be there too.

I'm actually working in the madness that is Chicago this weekend. Between the Taste of Chicago, The Grateful Dead shows and the huge fireworks show I think they estimated over a million extra people here this weekend and I get to be one of them.

Happy Independence Day! And..as usual I am working... The local fireworks show has been canceled due to all the rain, but I will break out the scotch and toast our forefathers and veterans while I clean and oil things later :)

Hey Kingpin! Good to see you back in this neck of the woods! I've been fishing in Lake Tahoe all morning. I filled a nice size stringer with Macs!!! I'll post pictures when I sober up. So maybe Tuesday!:D.

Have fun brothers and sisters. Be safe.

Grilling with the family, and watching the local fireworks show. Happy 4th!

It was a good day.

I shared hot dogs with my wife and a raven while hiking in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the first National Park.
