As this weekend celebrates workers labor, please join me in wishing the kamis, sarkis and other associated workers at BirGhorka well and our thanks in making good khukuris for us, their customers.

I do that when I want to remember the alternative to putting up with all the garbage each day brings.

And from me as well. All to often we forget those that do the menial tasks that are so important. If it wasn't for the steel workers in any form we would still be hammering knives out of stone.

I do remember and meditate on their situation.

Then I close the door on that and go about my day making sure to appreciate what I have, caring for others as the situation presents. Without some peace, hope, and joy, I have little to give others.

Ah well. Simplicity is the answer, but why is living it so dayum complicated?
