Happy Mother's Day, indeed!

About ten years ago, I had to get a passport, and needed my birth certificate. That was the first time that I had actually looked at it. Seeing the hour of the day, name of my mother, my name, the attending physician, and the phrase "live birth" was very touching to me. I'm usually not very sentimental about such things, but that really drove home the point that life is a gift that we have been given by the person who carried us for the first nine months.
