Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Best knife moment was definitely getting this Mnandi. It has a pretty significant birthdate.

Looking forward to hitting up Bladeshow again in 2020:cool:

IMG_20200101_030342751.jpgMy best "knife moments" of this year was my daughter giving me a couple Buck knives for my Birthday. And for Christmas a great looking Case toothpick. I told her " I like you having a job." I went with my wife to a dinner party at the Moose lodge and this was in my pocket tonight . Happy New year Everybody.

hny all !!!
best knife moment 2019 - maxed out and didn't get to buy a bunch of crappy knives
as xmas office gifts. got a bunch of crappy
mini santas instead lol!!
looking forward to 2020 - less is best.
hoping to somehow remain contented.
but its well known that when it comes
to knives,, abstinence.remains to be seen.

Happy new year, everyone!

Best knife moments of 2019?
I guess that would be the pay it forward thread. I got to help out a few people and thin my collection at the same time.

Gained some friends (and gear) along the way, too.

A big thank you to all that came to my aid and those of you that found a use for my excess gear.

Let’s do it again sometime.

Best wishes to all for the New Year.
My best knife moment involved an axe moment. The receipt and restoration of a vintage Elwell Tasmanian pattern axe, which is now a superb tool for supplying fuel to heat the house. Though the axe is a fine one, a good bit of the work was done with one of my favorite knives, which I hope validates the notion that this was actually a knife moment. Using a knife to produce another working tool is a great experience.
Runner up moment was receiving my Skrama and Mini Skrama. Next to scoring that Elwell, they were my most satisfying purchases of 2019.
Thanks again to all who help keep BF running.

Happy New Year to you and all the staff !
The best knife moment, by far, was this :

Receiving the first knife I have designed (I mean, designed based on two Spanish pattern I melted together, sort of, in what I suppose to be a highly functional dagger). Of all knives, my first one had to be a dagger... Go figure ! I'm as non tactical as can be.
My only credit is making this drawing (final version), and many others, and working with a fantastic blade smith who listened to me while letting out his usual talent to the best !

2020 I’m looking forward to the sebenza 31

Great question. Best knife moment for me was finally “getting” traditionals. Also looking forward to a new CRK in 2020.

Good morning, Spark! Happy New Year to you and all of my friends here at Bladeforums!

My best knife moment was either that first dinner meet-up with all my blade-afflicted friends at the Blade Show in Atlanta, or the final BF live-stream on youtube - I look forward to more of those live-streams as they are a lot of fun!

best

Happy New Year Spark and BF!

Best moments for me were getting my first customs ever, from CPK and Shannon Steel Labs, and also giving a couple away.

Looking forward to hopefully adding a Redmeadow in 2020, and getting to know fellow members even better.
