These are new pistons for my 2001 Ford Lightning supercharged V8 motor. They are .030 over sized; so this will make it a 335 cubic inch motor. With rings+pistons; there's over $800 alone!! Don't ask me how much $$ I got in this motor. :P

It will be up from 8.5 to 9.5:1 compression, supercobra jet crank, Manley H-beams, arp 2000 headstuds, rod bolts, top of the line XR heads.... I could keep going but it's ALL built. Plan is 600+ hp at tire, and run hopefully high 10's/low 11's in the 1/4 mile.

It's just a street truck.

And since this is BladeForums..... here's pictures of my 2 Spyderco's that I own. PM2 in S110V Burple, and Raven 2 knives that I used to open the boxes with!

When I initially had this motor built it was .020 oversized. But the #8 bearing on the crank got tight and one morning after it running for 6 months it wouldn't turn over. Here is what this motor is going back into; Hope you like it?

Here is how the .020 motor ran... this is a roll to 85+ mph. The slight stutter you here 3/4 the way thru the pull is the torque converter in the transmission locking up like it should.

Pretty neat stuff. I guess we may see you on Street Outlaws soon holding it down for the 563! Speaking of, you are gonna need a wacky name for you or the truck. How about: Red Riding Hood? ha!

Most folks on the internet know me as "Exracr"........ but I'm thinking of naming the truck "Phoenix" due to this will be the 3rd motor swap and it being red.... FML :P

First OEM one.... previous owner put a spark plug insert in the passenger head and it wasn't straight; burst a water passage in the head into the cylinder and took out the cross hatching. 2nd motor was a complete new long block $10,500 motor that the bearing got tight. I'm rebuilding that one now with the new crank/pistons. All motor work is being done by a very trusted machine shop locally that builds all the local drag racers motors. Owner of that shop runs 2 dragsters with 630+ alcohol motors with N2O on them. He build a motor for a guy locally last year and supposedly that guy beats the crap out of his motor for over 2 years with zero problems. So I'm hoping this time, I'll have better luck?!

Street outlaws....... nope them guys are running 1200+ hp. I'm not even close!

But due to the extreme limited number of these trucks that were made; it's a very rare truck indeed.

My Dad has a 87 Buick Grand National.... If you take all the "only 1987" numbers made for the GN vs all 5 years of the 2nd Generation Ford Lightning...... A 2nd Gen Lightning is 5 TIMES rarer! :O
