Happy St Patty's Day

This one seems appropriate to today. Gold plated body and blade, green clamshell case and green velvet lining. It's also serial numbered (048). I've never seen a Buck quite like it with the gold plated blade. If anyone knows more about this knife I would love to know.

Awesome green knives you guys posted :)

DeSotoSky, that is one freaking sweet, and different knife. I hope you get some details on it.

Chris, lets see you shave with that Steak knife!

Haha….that was the exact thing that came to my mind this morning when I saw this thread!!

I think that would make an excellent teaching photo with the before and after pics. :D

A day late, but happy St Patrick's Day!!

Happy St Patrick's Day right back atcha.

These photos seemed appropriate for the day:

O, I think you were a falconer for the knights of the round table in another life....300

Wishing all a Happy St. Patrick's Day. We had ours on Friday at home with friends and then went to the Colonel's and fed him on Sat.. Corned beef, cabbage, Irish potatoes and Leesa made Irish soda bread. It was very good. As we could not do it at home on Monday. DM

The young Red Tail Hawks are really BIG fun for me as they know no fear of humans so they can get real close to you while on the hunt offering very good opportunities for action shots. A few years back I had one that seemed to follow me about and would land within 6 feet of me on a handrail, so waist high, overlooking a great hunting venue for avian predators. I figured that bird was a once-in-a-lifetime experience until this bird, which you have seen before here, came onto the scene this late Winter. I walk the TRNWR pretty regularly and folk there know me and tell me where this bird is within the park so I can be ready. I think about having a pocket full of mice to use as bait but it isn't necessary as I am a fixture there and frequency shifts the odds of capturing a good pic to my favor. Heck, it is only a mile from the old homestead here in my neck of the woods. I have a gruesome video of this hawk mangling that snake, which wraps itself around the bird's ankle, but unless you need a diet aid (appetite suppressant) I probably shouldn't post it here.
