One of the things all Americans need to give thanks for on this national day of thanks is the service of our men and women in uniform, especially those now in Iraq and Afganistan. They truly are the envy of the rest of the world and the pride of America.
So, Mr. StephanJ, I want to extend to you my personal thanks and ask you to further extend my thanks to all of fellow soldiers over there. I wish you all a pleasant, safe, and peaceful Thanksgiving.
Please know that, while the media sometimes misrepresents things, the vast majority of Americans are proud of you, thankful to you, and appreciate the hard work you do under such terrible and dangerous circumstances.
