Looked different Monday (bear season) - had a few inches of snow !
Will probably have 10 members in camp this weekend - a little poker,a lot of good food, beer, and BS !:)

The little add-on on the left side holds two kegs of beer and taps, with the lines running into the kitchen.
No electricity - propane lights, refrigerators, stoves, water heater. Gravity flow running water with shower, and toilet in basement.Heated by a big fireplace and a kerosene heatrola.
Looking for a propane dishwasher!

I am living at my hunting shack for the time being. When I want to hunt, I have to walk almost 25 yards for deer, sit on the porch for rabbits and squirrel, and take a stroll at night time for varmints.
It sounds good, but the well is mostly dry, (haul water in summer) hard to heat and cool,(gave up on cooling) is a long drive to work, 4 channels on TV, and ...... I still love it.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the Pine Ridge area of Nebraska. Our rifle deer season just go over with this past Sunday and I'm still trying to recover. Ron has a lot neater deer camp than I do. Ron, would you mind loading you cabin up and bringing it out to Nebraska? If you do I will do the dishwashing for you.:D Ron, I think you forgot to post a picture of the wall with all your shirt tails nailed to it.

Have A Safe Holiday, Everyone.

Not many remember those these days. I live on 360 acres in the middle of deer heaven here on the Tennessee River, so hunting is not a journey. Our rifle season began a week ago and lasts til January 7th. I am allowed six does and two bucks. That is in addition to what my two teens can bag. My son has two forkhorns already.

RON!!! RON!!!! Everywhere I go there is someone named Ron or Ronnie, is there no place safe from them????

Sometimes I think I'm the one being hunted, not a year goes by that I don't patch a bullet hole in my house or in my shed. Damned city slickers! I guess I should paint my house something other than whitetail brown.Have a great Thanksgiving and a bountiful hunting season fellas!

Max,
Here's the shirttails - only one of them is mine. Missed a running shot at a bear a few years back.

I came home last night to get some X-rays taken,as I took a bad spill in some rocks yesterday. Doc says "just some severe contusions but you've broken 4 ribs in two places, each, on that side previously. Here, look on the x-ray." Carol pipes up and says " I know when he did that.He wouldn't come to the emergency room to get x-rays taken as hunting season was in."
It hurts like heck so I may lay around the house for a couple days before I head back to camp. Can't stay home too long or the wife will want me to put up outside Christmas decorations.

Sounds quite wonderful. Good for you!

When someone would comment about the weather or the time of the year I would comment, "Days like this it would be great to be sitting in a little cabin back in the hills." Then one day I realized that I was always saying that because as far as I'm concerned any and every day is a good day to be back yonder in a cabin! Just not much chance of it happening anytime soon for me. I sure miss living out a ways.

A belated Holiday blessing for all.
