I am most thankful this year for my friends and family.
Am thankful for my health, which is for sure better than it should be.
Am thankful for BFC, which has allowed me to make the acquaintance of some great collectors and makers.
Am thankful for the new makers that I discovered this year, who have produced some amazing works of art.
Am thankful for the opportunity to judge at the Seattle Knife Show and at Blade Show.....as a collector, it doesn't get any better than that.
Am thankful for the opportunity to sell knives from great makers to collectors and dealers who appreciated the work as much, if not more than I do.
Am particularly thankful for my associations with Phillip Baldwin, Jim Cooper, Dudley Dawkins, Matt Diskin, Larry Fuegen, Paul "Pappy" Long, R.J. Martin, David Mirabile, Joseph Paranee, Mike Quesenberry, Buddy Thomason, and Thomas Welk....they are honest, forthright and loyal men, and if you all have friendships of that degree, you are truly blessed.
Take this time to salute Kit Carson, Ed Halligan and John White.....may you all rest in peace and know that you left the world a far, far better place by your presence.
What are you thankful for?
Best Regards,
STeven Garsson
