Thanks and wishing you and yours a great holiday season and all my Buck friends as well.
Stockdog.

To all you fine southern gentlemen; I wish you all the best for your Thanksgiving Holliday. I hope all your crops are in and dry and all your families are safe, near, and warm.

First time I've ever been called a southern gentleman.... but thanks Will :)

I pulled my 119 out to carve the turkey.

...Here's my fervent hope that all the Buck forum members and all members of Blade Forums have a happy and safe Thanksgiving Holiday...Even all you "northerners"...:D:p:eek::cool:

may all here enjoy your time with famley and friends and blessings that your future harvest be full..
rember it was it was friends from two worlds that shared the first harvest...
i tryed to take out a 120 to carve the turky with but that was nixed by the wife ...

Happy T-Day to my dysfunctional Buck family.
Going to in-laws today (can't wait) and then frying a bird Sat for my tribe.
Hope you all have a great day...

And WTB, thanks for the wishes. Hope your second Monday in Oct 2008 is a great Canuck Thanksgiving Day for you too!

BTW, for your Thanksgiving, do you do guys up north deep fry a seal, beaver, Canadian goose, turkey, or what? Curious if the grub is similar to the USA Thanksgiving.

We generally have a preference for beaver. ;)

Actually our Thanksgiving fare is pretty much the same as our Southern neighbors. Perhaps with the exception of Brussels Sprouts, which I just love.

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

Hey WTB...I too love those sprouts (and beaver ;))...
Try this with your sprouts...get a pepperoni sausage, grill it to burn out some of the fat and give it a charred taste...slice it in cubes (whatever size you like) and the steam 'em with the sprouts.
Good eating...even peeps that don't like sprouts often change their minds when they have that.

Anyway, I plan to use my 120BR for turkey slicing. (avoiding the "chat police")

Well, this year we had a crowd of nine and they could choose turkey or ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, dressing and either pumpkin or apple pie. Never eaten seal but I have eaten muktuk (whale blubber) and it was sweet and surprising.

Whoops WTB! I meant to address my previous post to A.P.F.
Guess all ya guys up north look alike LOL. ;)

Yep, I too am offerring a choice of pig or bird.
One thing I see but have never had is that green bean casserole. Looks scary and that is coming from a Spam fan.

Take care WTB...

I'll send you some of our leftover green bean casserole.... not sure what it will look like after our USPS gently carries it across the country?

Whale blubber?

It goes well with beaver ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Woody

Hmm...I've heard that in messy's hood green bean casserole is considered an aphrodisiac :D...And therefore goes very well with fresh beaver;):D.

LOL....you and I have ladies of the same train of thought. My wife was up at 0330 this morning and out the door by 0345. I sat up and told her I only get up at that time of day to go hunting or fishing ;). Yep...my lady loves the Black Friday shopping...she came by about and hour ago to show me all the wonderful stuff she found and then took off again....you know the look in her eye's was a lot like the look I get when I see a nice Buck...the four legged kind or the cold steel kind...LOL.
