Folks, we will be leaving on a 2 state 4 day whirl wind holiday tour this afternoon (visiting relatives etc., but that sounded more exciting) & I don't know how often I will be able to get on here. In the meantime, the JUST1MOR household (Sally T. & yours truly) wanted to wish everyone a safe & "restful" (that's for BA & KFU) holiday break. I know that we ourselves have a great deal to be thankful for this holiday. As of yesterday, Sally T.'s blood tests still show negative for any type of cancer cells in her system. In a couple of weeks, her chemo port can come out & her final surgeries for reconstruction can start. Guys, to us, this is like putting the stamp on the envelope, or the last mile of a marathon. And we could not have done this without your help of the gifts & the posts in all the threads. To guys like Moosez, Guyon, Esav, Kiah, VIK, JforBush, Dan Fairly, & all the others on the main forum, what they did last year for her could never be repaid in $$$$'s or words, & we will be forever indebted to them. To the guys on this forum, BA, Chris, G-man, Wilson, Mykel, Sveqs & all the rest of you "gnarly" types, words can not express enough thank you's for the smiles you have put on her face & mine with some of your posts & "comments" this year . . . . :D
Guys, this whole ordeal has opened our eyes & made her & I more aware of what we have each day, no matter how small it may seem. Be thankful every day that if your feet hit the floor in the morning, the rest of the day can be handled. And, before I have to get the soap box & tissues out, I will close.
Enjoy your holiday, please drive safely if you are traveling, & take some time to think of something you are truly thankful for as well . . . . .

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Think of me when you are layed back on Friday watching TV while Im at work fighting the masses! Can you believe I have to get up at 1:45 am to open the store at 4:00! Seriously, who gets up that early to shop. Ill tell you who...EVERYONE it seems like!

Damn Chris,that blows.You must be having a great sale on plywood & plumbing fixtures eh.
Only crazy people get up that early to shop,I'm sure glad I don't have too.(Work or Shop)
Just remember to chant 'serenity now' to your self every now & then.:D
 
I hear ya guys. Really, is a 29.00 Shop Vac worth getting up at 4am for?
Mykel, it will be the end of my shift before I can even think about anything else. It does make for a long weekend though!

I hear ya there Chris. My wife had to work til midnight last night, getting home at 12:30. She got up at 5 to prepare today's meal, has to go to bed around 4, and be back at work at 11 tonight for Black Friday. Woo hoo...

I made it! This year was much busier than the last couple. I was listening to the radio on my way this morning at 2:45 and there was actually a lady at Walmart that sprayed other customers with pepper spray to get to what she wanted first! I was talking to a local cop and he got called to Walmart...again because two women were beating the crap out of each other with lawn chairs. Gotta love Christmas in small southern towns!
 
good to know you made it through the day alive - there were a few items I REALLY wanted today, but not enough to brave the stupidity.

Those "little old ladies" are the one's you have to look out for, they don't play.
