Happy Thanksgiving To The Chris Reeve Family And To ALL My CRK Brothers & Sisters Out There. Enjoy The Holiday And Be Safe...!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the nuts who choose to spend their time in the CRK subforums!

All those turkey pictures are making me think it might be worth visiting your side of the pond at this time of year. :p

I hope you all had a great day and did lots of what ever it is you do for the day. :D:thumbup:

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys too!

I'll have you know I used a CRK to apply the seasoning to my bird. It turned out great, too. If anyone is interested for your next turkey, apply a nice dry rub the morning before you plan to cook it, then smear on a generous coating of bacon grease. Then roast it as usual basting it every 30 minutes. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

All the best on this Thanksgiving day to a great bunch of folks that make this forum enjoyable.

Have any after photos of that turkey Unit? Looks intriguing

Hope you all had a great turkey day!

Happy belated Thanksgiving guys. Forgot to post yesterday. Hope you all had a great time with your families and friends, and ate well. Thanks for the thread nyfemaker.

I wish I did, but honestly, it looked a lot like any other roasted turkey, it just was a lot juicier, and probably had a much higher fat content.

I don't think I mentioned that put the turkey in the pan breast down except for the last 30 minutes. It gets a slight browning to it, but never looses the wet look.

I am sure it was delicious! I make mine in an electric roaster, just turn it on and leave it for 4 hours and it comes out insanely moist and delicious.. I rub mine with olive oil and some seasoned salt and some black pepper..

I used to do the same. It's probably the purist's choice, but I think there are few meats that cannot bennefit from bacon;)

Very few foods in general, for that matter. Fiance made bacon wrapped, almond stuffed dates as one of many snacks. I would like to have seen the turkey as well.
