Happy Thanksgiving to all you Buck lovers, enjoy the day...
I have a lot to be thankful for everyday that I'm on this earth. Sometimes I just don't take the time to think about it all...as we all know life can get in the way.
I've lived all my life in Colorado and up until 15-20 years ago I didn't see many turkeys in the wild. They are becoming very common in and around where I live and hunt. I've only hunted for them twice, years ago, with no luck. There are several spots where I waterfowl hunt that it's surprising if I don't see turkeys. The Merriam species is native here with the Rio Grande found in some of the drainage areas in the eastern part of the state. Pictured below are Merriams.
This 110 was in the lot that I bought a few weeks ago and I was saving it for today...

Happy Thanksgiving to all. About 85 years ago, Wyoming made a trade with New Mexico. Wyoming sent some grouse to New Mexico in exchange for some turkeys. They have done well here. We have quite a few that wander our neighborhood. This fellow was across the street and put on a nice display for the photo.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I lost my uncle last month. He was my turkey hunting partner. Thanksgiving won't be the same. He was the last of the prior generation.
Sorry for your families loss Greg. Lost my Father last month in a car accident. He was a great man. A hard act to follow. He was also the last of his generation. I guess that puts me front of the line.
Happy Thanksgiving all. May you all have a blessed day.

Sorry to hear that James... Seems to always happen just ahead of the holidays.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

My condolences to Greg and James in their loss, especially tough at the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to all the members of the Buck Forum here at Blade - I sure enjoy hanging with and talking Buck Knives with you gents. OH
My favorite Buck Knife (a 121) for turkey cleaning and a spring bird from a few years back.
