Thanksgiving might have lost meaning for some . The reason we celebrate it earlier is our winter comes earlier . I,m a hunter so I know how hard it can be to put meat on the table . I realise we all have our own reasons for celebrating holidays . Even if its just an excuse to put on the feedbag , To some it means more than that .

I hope no offense was taken, Kevin. I was just messing with Dave and being "the ugly american" so to speak. I understand Thanksgiving is more than just overstuffing yourself, and I understand that your celebration of the holiday is for a practical purpose. We just give Dave a good ribbing so that he'll move down here closer to us. Happy holiday, friend.

Jake

I,d move closer too but I,m trying to spread Kukuuri useage northward . I have Aboriginal buddies that I haven,t seen in a long time . I wonder what an Innut would think of a Sirupati or a B:A:S . He,d proabably go and take on a polar bear with one ! I sure will miss him ! L:O:L

well, i'll be at my parent's house for some serious feasting. yep, thanksgivin' be one of my fav holidays.

turkey, stuffin', oh boy, can't wait!

my dad makes his special gravey. if you don't think about what he uses and ignore the colour, it actually tastes pretty good.

Cdns celebrate thanksgiving on the second monday of October in order to rub it in the noses of our American friends.

Hey, you've GOT to specify! If it isn't ichor green, and have catfood in it, it might be worth trying.

Wow! I read the post subject and thought "I've missed Thanksgiving again"!

Sometimes I lose time but never a whole month at once. Glad it wasn't so.

As you can read from my first post thanksgiving is a big day in my family .
About twenty immediate family members ,lots of activities to build up an appetite and enough food that there are leftovers even after you,ve filled up my 240 pounds .

About a month later I used to head on down to my buddies place in New York and celebrate with them . This time its a real country style feast with home made dumplings, biscuits and wild game as well as whatever we butchered our ownselves .

Maybe some darts , pool and beer as well as a shoot the bull session about who can out shoot who . Its a funny thing . The more imprecise and slurred the talk gets the greater the precision on the range sounds . I think its one of those oxymoronic things .
