I got to be honest with everyone I already had a bad taste in my mouth about spyderco because of a dishonest martial artist in my area who used to push spyderco knives when I first got involved in martial arts but I left that place and stuck with it and went to a new school where I have been for several years and most likely for life. This is not spydercos fault! But somehow in my mind I related one to the other? So I decided to give spyderco a fresh start when I e-mailed them and they didn't reply. I freaked out and it brought up bad memories. I see the error in my ways now and have no animosity towards spyderco any more. I thank the heads of spyderco for answering me and a few of the people in the forum for not running me off especially Hawkbill!

Glad you're back...... Never mind all the self appointed whatevers that you run across here and in all walks of life. Seems folks are quick to jump on anyone for anything.

If I might suggest a first purchase to you, see if you can locate models that you like in VG-10 steel, especially those in flat ground configuration. It is a very good steel, and most folks that have used it, I SAID USED IT, like it very well.

Good luck and have a peacefull Thanksgiving yourself.

Thomas

Thanks for the info Thomas but It might be a while before I get a new knife because yesterday my knife dealer found me a Prototype Benchmade balisong 42SS which I thought was impossible to find! Don't know if your into butterfly knives but IM so happy I have to tell someone. Thanks Jeremy

Welcome back independent, no hard feelings on this end. Some names do set people up one way or the other, Spyderco is one of them. That 42SS is a nice score, I had one of those but it just wasn't for me. It was a very nice knife though. If you're into balis you should check out the balisong forum here in General, it's a good group.
