Happy Veteran's Day! My father in law was in WWII, in the 101st Airborne. He was in the Holland campaign, D-Day, and The Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne. Oh, the stories I here. He's in Kentucky, at Ft. Campbell today, for the 101st Airborne festivities.

Happy Veteran's Day! So many people in my family have served, but my favorite story is my Uncle Jim, rest his soul. He was awarded the silver star for running ammo to the perimiter of the airfield his unit was defending when they were pinned down and and noone else would.

Happy Veterans day everyone thanks for your service or your support of those who do serve.

Happy Veterans Day and sincere thank you to all the men and women who have served our country in the military.

My grandfather, who passed this summer at 88, served in the NAVY during WWII. He was the tail-gunner in a Curtiss SB2C Helldiver.

Craziest story he ever told me -- his aircraft was on the runway when another plane was taxiing behind and couldn't stop in time. The prop from that plane chewed up the tail of his plane and stopped just a few feet from his rear cockpit

A sincere thank you from the the Trades to those who have served their country.

@CCMI, my Dad, who also passed this last spring at 84, was also a tail gunner in the SB2C and TBF Avenger.

Happy Veterans Day, I too would like to convey a sincere THANK YOU to all that have served and are currently serving!

Thank you for your service! My wife is hoping to become a military doctor when she completes medical school; I'd join up too, but we agreed only one of us in the military at any given time. Plus my vision probably isn't good enough; not sure what the requirements are.

As long as you can see with corrective lenses then you should be able to join. I knew so many people with worse vision than me, and I think I'm blind.

Thankyou for serving.
For those in war, thankyou for the sacrafice you and yours have made.
I was Infantry in Germany and Ft. Stewart.

Thanks for serving trailbum!

Our country is hugely indebted to every soldier who has served. My grandpa spent WWII island hopping and was almost ready to move into Japan when the war ended. Fortunately, he let us ask all kinds of questions about the war a couple years ago. I'm not sure he could have those conversations now and remember his time of active duty.

Thanks all, and God bless all still serving and prior service, from an aging marine-Semper Fi...and Happy Birthday for all us Jarheads yesterday...236 years young
