I guess I am showing my age. I still think of it as Armistice Day. James Russell Lindsay was my grandfather's youngest brother. He died roughly three weeks after his 19th birthday and three weeks before the end of the War. Almost 40 members from his church in a small Scottish town died in the War. This is a day for reflection.

You may have them reversed.

At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May.Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Dayhonors those who died while in military service

Veterans Day
(originally known as Armistice Day) is an official United States public holiday observed annually on November 11, honoring military veterans, that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which are celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954

I figured that because it just looks too nice for a production sheath, I was talking about the PROUDLY MADE IN USA sheath.
Has a nice wide belt loop which seems like a major improvement, that's really my only complaint about the standard sheaths

My Father is retired Coast Guard. My Father in law served in Korea. I have a niece who is currently in the Air Force. And a few friends, uncles, and nephews who served.
Thank you to all who have served for us and our country. We all owe our way of living to you.

That's definitely good to know.

So what's that sheath look like from the front, is it a friction fit sheath or is there some sort of retention like the regular sheaths ?

Happy my grandfather served his country with pride that never wavered.

The 119 sheath made in USA has strap around handle. The 110 sheaths are snap enclosure
