Happy Veteran's Day to all who served in the past, are serving now and will serve in the future.

Today, here in America, it is Veteran's Day, a national holiday that is set aside to celebrate, commemorate and remember those who have chosen to serve their country. It is November 11th each year, marking the end of the major hostilities of WWI, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

Thank you to all of you who chose to serve your country, whichever country it might be, to preserve the freedom of other's at great cost to yourselves and your families.

Thank you to all who are currently serving on foreign soil, and know that my prayers are with you to honorably serve your country and to return home safely. My prayers are also for those who wait for them patiently and faithfully at home, and support them during this difficult time.

I proudly served my country for a long time and continue to do so in many ways. Now I'm off to Applebee's for my free meal for Veteran's (sorry to you non-American's, I'm pretty sure this is just in America)!

Thank you. 26 years served. I, and my three co-workers are all vets. The "company" policy is not to recognize Veterans Day, hence, we worked today. Our Manager, not a vet, decided last night that he would take today off and go fishing. There was nearly a mutiny.

I think kage said it all for me, too, and, like kage, I'm going to Applebee's for chow today.

Best to all my Brothers and Sisters who have served their country.

USMC nine years.
