Thank all of you out there that frequent this site that are serving or have served in our armed services. Its people like you (and I) that make our country a free place, where we can talk to others about knives and things. Thank you

Applebys fixed us a nice dinner tonite, 2 old hungry sailors....I was just thinking about that and added them all up [All USN] Kathy;wife..Karen;sister,Loyd and Justin;nephews,Uncle 'Fuzz';uncle, Dave;brother....My Dad and Kathy's were both Army in Korea and WW2..I guess we could count Uncle Doc too [Nebraska State Trooper] A lot of us served..Thanks Uncle Sam,You gave a lot of us a Job!!
 
I called up the Veterans today which I knew and thanked them for serving and giving of themselves . DM
 
I was sad all day - too many fine young warriors are maimed and suffering from actions defending our freedoms. It was their day. Drove by Applebees - couldn't stop - just didn't feel worthy.

PS Of course today is another day... and all I can think is "I missed a free lunch?". What was I thinking?? Of course, I didn't miss it last year - thank you, Applebee's!
