  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Went to SMKW this weekend for their annual post-Christmas 20% off everything sale. I got out with a Spyderco FFG Endura, Victorinox Tinker WITH led flashlight in a blister pack and Izula scales (tax included) for just under a bill! But my biggest suprise was how great my BK-14 felt with the Izula scales installed. I probably spent an hour or so with the scales and the file on my Leatherman Wave getting a tight fit. I definately liked the Eskabar with the 550 basket weave, but now this is WAY more balanced in the hand! Great steel, great design, and a great mod piece. As for SMKW, gave them $1 at the knife sharpening booth and asked them to back the relief edge up a bit. Three minutes later I had the knife I was looking for. Ten strokes on a Smith's 600 mid grit, five strokes on an Arkansas fine stone, and five strokes on a steeling rod to allign my imperfections and this Eskabar is good to go! Thanks Ethan, ESEE, and SMKW. GOOD STUFF!

Can't believe how good the ESEE scales make my bk14 feel. Well, o.k. the knife hasn't really talked to me about how good scales feel ;-)

Picked up my first Becker, a BK 11. Now I have BK 2,9,13 and 14.
