I knife maker I've noticed recently is Harald Moeller. His web site shows an exceptionally interesting range of knife styles. I'm seriously thinking of buying some (one....all???). Can anyone tell me anything about his quality and the "feel" of his knives?
Thanks,
Davy

Harald is one of Canada's best knifemakers. I first became a friend of his in 1980 when I first learned of Custom knives. Over the years, I have owned a number of Haralds knives and currently have 3 Viper II's, the Viper Frontiersman with stag scales as seen on his website. A Bearclaw as also seen there. My son has a lovely boot knife with water buffalo scales that is for sale. I also have one of the Canadian series that was done for the CKCC many years back but have changed the scales to mammouth ivory. All of Harald's work is absolutely first class. He is not cheap but quality is first and foremost. he is just starting into folders and I believe may have one available. If you look on the website again, you will also find a large Bowie with engraving and African Blackwood scales--it was also a knife I owned for a long time and now resides with another friend of Harald's who lives near to him. Whatever you may obtain, you will be pleased with. If you need more info, let me know but I'd suggest communicating directly to Harald.

I had him make a Canadian Frontiersman recently for me, heavy solid throwing knife! 1/4" thick 440C steel and ground and balanced beautifully.

If you're interested you might get your order in soon as he is contemplating retiring from making and your's might be his last? If you are not already too late.
