This is touched upon in other threads, and while my question is specific to the 14" wood cutting bandsaw (for friction cutting titanium (is 2700 rpm fast enough?), the question could be applied to all the imported power tools that are sold under various names.
The Harbor Freight model is normally a little more than half the price of the Delta model. They are similar, though not identical; is the price difference justified or are the differences too subtle to matter? Most everyone seems to be satisfied with their H/V metal bandsaw from Harbor Freight, but maybe it's an exception. I agree with Tom Mayo and others when it comes to buying better equipment, but the truly best costs a great deal more than even Delta (for example). Opinions?
