I went in to the local store today to purchase a new micro-mill and when the guy brought it out he told the gal at the register to mark it down to $149!! :D so I ended up paying $179 with the one year warranty. I'm not sure why they did that and I didn't want to ask but He talked it over with the boss man so I don't think it was a mistake.

Hi Belstain,

I went to my local Harbor Freight and they told me they would honor the $149 price if I could give them the SKU number of the one you bought! Could you look at your box and let me know the SKU for the micro mill you picked up yesterday? Thanks! :)

I want that SKU number also!!! :D I want in on that! Darren, is that all they said you needed? They didn't need to know which store he bought it from? What all did you tell them?
Thanks,
Ric

Belstain,
Many thanks for the SKU, hopefully all will work out and I'll have a new micro mill as well! :D

Ric,
I went in to my local HF and said I knew of a guy who had purchased one the day before at a store in Oregon for $149, as Belstain reported. I asked if they would honor the price, and was told that they would check. The manager came out and asked if I could get the SKU number for the one that the guy had purchased as that price was what *they* paid for them for the micro mill he had in his inventory. He also told me that different HF stores can have differing sales prices and that it may have just been a sale price at that local store, them trying to clear out a few from inventory. Anyway, from the conversation we had, I'm under the impression he will honor that price if I bring him back the SKU number. They didn't have any in stock (at least of the one he had in his inventory) but would have to get one in for me when I came back with the number. We'll have to see....you know how HF stores can be sometimes... Hopefully this is the case at the store Belstain bought his from with a local sale, else I'll feel bad, as the people at the store I shop were being really nice about it and I don't want to feel like I've taken advantage of them. Of course, on the other hand, it does kind of irk me that they will sell things at a different price in different towns like that!

I ain't close to one but I called the St. Louis store. They said they would honor it if I had a sale ad or flyer to show them. I gave them the SKU and told them $149 and they said no way. I asked if I could show them a copy of his receipt if they would do it and they said no! I told them his store number and everything and they wouldn't budge. :( Half price man I had to try!!! :D
