Christmas shopping is done. An I have allocated about 60 buck for myself to buy a new Kershaw. I want to get a new EDC. Something I can doesn't show too much since I work in a cubic and my boss is a liberal who think a knife is a weapon not a tool. But I need something I can really use. Since its deer season. But I have can't choose which one. I have narrow it down to four choose.

Choice One
Kershaw talon with a g10 handle tip up
55.00 bucks

Choice two
Kershaw Splinter Knife with Quince Handle
50.00 bucks

Choice three
Kershaw Ener-G2 Ener-G II
50.00 bucks

Choice four
Kershaw cyclone
55.00 bucks

If you don't mind my asking, where did you find a talon for 55 dollars? (please PM or email me with the info) Of the ones listed I would go with the Talon. I have 2 and I love the old school Kershaw goodness. A Qunice wood Splinter for 55 buck is a good deal too.

The Splinter is an elegant looking knife.....non threatening looking.
It might be your best choice giving your work circumstances.
If you think you can get away with the Cyclone( I assume you're
talking Mini Cyclone)....personally I would go with it since you can
turn the AO off.

I would like to know too since $55 is below wholesale for a Splinter.
Please PM or Email me also. Thank you

Gotta go with the Cyclone myself. Love mine, can't say enough good things about the knife.

Get the Mini-Cyclone. Really. I carry a Mini-Cyclone as one of my 2 EDC's...(My other EDC is a ZT 0200). The Mini-Cyclone is a good "little" EDC folder if used around "sheeple", with the AO turned off. But, if you're like me, and don't care what the "sheeple" think, then leave the AO "on", and buy the full-sized Cyclone.:D.

Either the ENER-G or the Cyclone. I have (multiples of) both. I feel the ENER-G is a better slicer, and the Cyclone is more of a workhorse. My ENER-G's were sharper out of the box than the Cyclones.

It's a no brainer, you won't always be able to get the Talon, especially at that price. get it while the getting is good. All the 1400 series which included the talons were discontinued in the late 90's , all the rest are readily available.

Choice five
Kershaw JYD II
50.00 bucks

that is, of course, if you missed the part about the liberal boss who would just love to crawl in your business when he sees that "python-like clip" hanging out of your pocket. A favorite knife of mine, but far from discrete.

I like your splinter Quince idea. I had one of those and even if you are asked, or seen using it, it's quite elegant. Also, the clip is silver and small... the knife is pretty discreet. Also, has a nice size blade that's definitely a user

Too answer a few question. The splinter I found is clearance at a local sport store. An the talon is at gun store near where I live. I ask the owner about it he told me it been in the store so long he remember when he got it. But thank for the advice still haven't made choice yet.

What ever you decide, any of the knives you mentioned will
be a fine choice. They're all good in there on way.

Well everyone thank you for the advice. Sometime lady luck smile on a person. I have this jar of change on my counter for about four months. It was filling to the rim. So I cash her in. 103.12 dollar later. I got two new members to my Kershaw family the splinter Quince and the talon. I like the splinter it reminds me of the Kershaw sapphire. But the talon I love it.
I have the titanium and g10 Starkey and hawks and a titanium talon with the bottle opener. This one is just as good as the other ones
