hard time choosing

Does anyone have a hard time choosing which knife to carry each day? I sometimes do. I like all of my knives some more than others but, I do like them all and sometimes I feel that I've been neglecting a certain knife so I carry it for awhile and then go to another. I know I could carry more than one at a time but I don't like leaving the house feeling like I'm strapped up and ready for war. Does anyone else feel this way?

I tend to carry the same knives everyday, so I don't have that decision to make every morning. Then again I carry from 3-5 blades with me on any given day, so I might just be odd;)

Sometimes I have a difficult time choosing, as I stand over my EDC drawer deciding which knife to take with me to work. However, I can't say that I don't love that little daily ritual.

I'm a corporate manager, and generally EDC a slipjoint to work, unless I'm taking my amber bone Kiwi. However, after work I change into jeans or shorts, and add something a little more stout. Since I'm a Spydernut, it's more often than not one of the following:

In a few days, I'll have a yellow Pacific Salt to add to the lineup, which I just ordered.

Until you have to take any less worn knives to counseling for neglect, I think you are doing fine. I tend to carry the same thing every day until some Spyderco thread about "model X" reminds me to switch to a different model.

I carry the same knife for a week or two before changing to something else. It's hard enough making that decision, wouldn't want to do it daily.

Choosing a knife should never be distressing. Don't make it a habit to visit the collection each day. Carry a knife long enough to fully realize and appreciate it's potential. Then, should you decide a change is in order for whatever reason, do it. This could be a preference related decision, different circumstances whick require a different type knife or, as someone has alread mentioned, merely a thread to spark interest in another model.

One good thing about Spydercos is the large selection available. Whatever your fancy or preference, they have something that will likely fit the bill.

The Para and the Subcom F is what has been my EDC for quite some time now. They cover pretty much everything I do.

I do not have this problem yet. Everything is simple:
SS SE Delica 4 at work
Adventura after work and weekends
Native around a house
SAK on vacations and trips to the city (I am planning to buy spare Kopa, than SAK willl be for vacations only).
Blue Delica 4 everywhere.
It will became more difficult after Caly 3 come out.

I have some system, too :)
For work/city EDC - Ocelot.
Cigar cutting - mini Persian
In-car there are always Impala CE with guthook (seatbelts..etc) and Chinook II (just in case) sitting.
Hunting/outdoor activities is becoming more complicated b/s I have more Spyderco's I like to do the job - large Wegner PE, three different versions of Impala (but not the "car" Impala obviously :) ) - and another Chinook II (I find its S30V and blade shape especially good for wildboar) . I tend also to take Manix then but rather for making sandwitches than as a hunting knife - just my pesonal feeelings.
Diving is quite simple as I have only Pacific Salt (apart from diver's fixed blades).
Large Wegner CE and Delica SE stay home enjoying my eyes only - probably would be good for fishing, but I don't.
Wyane Goddard micarta CE - I bought the used one and unfortunately can't get this GIN1 really sharp again (maybe diamond rods for my triangle sm would help?) so it serves just box opening at home.

Any other systems?

I feel so sorry for people who try to get by on ONE knife at a time. I carry about a dozen at a time myself. But then, I use mine pretty hard (my record is getting home with 9 blades to sharpen from the day's work)
