For sometime know Ive wanted to sell of some of my knives to fund a ZT 0600 or ZT 0777M390. But everytime I get ready to do so I cant bring myself to do it or even make up my mind which ones! So I was wondering if others have a hard time like I do selling knives in their collection or if u did how u got over it? Another thing I have hard time spending over 250$ on a knife because of my income right now so in my mind it would make me feel better to reuse money that I alreadt spent ( if that makes sense)

I get how you feel, it's hard letting go of those awesome knives when you know if one day you want it back it will be quite the adventure to find it again. But that's part of the joy of this hobby IMO!

I don't sell any of my toys ever, period. Now I make a living by making and sellig stuff sure, but as far as my personally owned toys (knives, guns, fun things like that) no I never sell them, not even to fund others, just save up to buy more.

Now I will sometimes give them away to friends and even trade (up or down) but its just not worth it to sell stuff (and I even have a hard time trading). I've regretted to many things over the years and learned to just hoard everything, I'd rather have buyers remorse than sellers, and its even worse when you need the thing you sold...

I am a chronic seller. I will sell almost anything without compunction, but usually I end up keeping knives that I use so much that they look like hell and replacing them would be far more difficult than it is worth.

I want a Emerson CQC-15, so I might have to sell my Meyerco Terzuola Fixed Blade.

I snagged it for a good price and I liked the knife, its gonna be hard.

I think you have to figure out who you are and what matters to you. I recently picked up something that I finally wanted it was above $250. I'm not going to start a flame thread but lets just say it is one of the more sought after and talked about knives.

I'm actually at a loss now. I feel kinda meh about. I thought maybe the seas would part because I got the knife but it doesn't cut any better or worse then some knives tthat I've gotten for $15-$75 bucks. That said if you are collector maybe you should keep it. If you aren't then sell everything g to get that next new thing...because that's what you might find fun about the whole knife thing. Or find some middle ground. I think my irrational knife buying or buying just because I want it days are coming to a halt because of how meh I was about this last purchase...at the end of the day knives just cut things...

I know exactly how you feel. I have some custom orders that will be coming up and I need another job to help pay for them. I think to myself that I could sell some knives, but besides two or three I got in trade which are not the more expensive ones, I am having a difficult time finding which ones to sell. Love my Microtech Elite and do not want to sell it, but it may come down to that. (Probably not)

I don't really sell but I often cull my collection and gift the knives I rarely touch or even think about. Tastes change. I say if you still use the old ones, keep saving until you can add a new one to your stable! You'll know when a particular piece becomes dead weight and it won't be hard to part with... :)

If you bought a knife retail for $250 expect to get less than half that upon resale unless it's a highly in demand make/model.

Do you carry either of them often? No? Sell them. Yes? Keep them.
