I am going to buying my first Sebenza after Saturday and I am wondering where the heck I can find a Large 21 without the "Idaho Made" stamp, it seems to be REALLY hard to find one unless someone can point me to a website. I have tried Knifeart, Plazacutlery, TRK, Newgraham, Knifesupply, Myknifedealer (Have Large Sebenza 21 but only with Double Lugs, with probably buy unless I can find just a standard plain 21) Not sure why it is so hard :grumpy: Unless I can buy it from someone off here I don't think I will be able to find one:(

If you want to buy a a Sebenza from someone here start a thread in this section. Try calling around, rather than emailing the stores you listed. It's probably hard to find because the stamp is being placed on the newer knives as they are produced and the non stamped models will be kept by their owners (just guessing).

I have been looking for an unstamped on also for the last 2 months without any luck.

I used to feel the same way about the stamp, bur I bought a 21 anyways and it's not bad at all. I'm satisfied with the one I have.

well, idaho or not, it's still the same knife, AND if you are going to buy a sebbie, you are going to use it, and when you use it you will probably be more focused on the cut instead of the idaho stamp. so buy it, use it and LOVE IT!

^^^ I agree, stamp or not, it's a GREAT knife. I don't even notice the stamp on my Large Insingo anymore.

What did this sorry ass, inexperienced CRK fan miss regarding stamps? Hadn't ever heard about the stamp/no stamp matter.

Golddust:

You should take a look at the standard Umnumzaan, the Wilson Combat Umnumzaan, or the Wilson Combat Small Sebenza. They all have the Idaho Made stamp, but I believe it looks much better on these knives. Plus the Wilson Combat grip design not only works well, but looks pretty nice.

Reeek,

There is quite a controversy raging over a new "Idaho Made" stamp or branding that the new knives are coming with now.

If you look below this thread towards the bottom of the page you should see one titled "New Idaho Made Poll" or something like that. There is also another one titled something like "No!!!!!!!Idaho!!!!!!!".

Take a look at those and you should get caught up.

The stamp does not change the fact that it is still a CRK. I carry my Annual 2010 spalted maple to work every day and don't even think about the stamp because I am using the knife not admiring it. If you want a sebenza don't let the stamp dissuade you from owning one. Just my two cents.
