I have a ZT MUDD. I have carried this knife as a work knife for quite a while, and was rather surprised when I heard it had been discontinued. I've put this knife through the ringer, and today, again.
Working on repairing a well house, I needed to cover a ventilation hole under a gable. I had some steel flashing, but no tin snips. So, out came the ZT MUDD.
What you do is, you open the folder and pop the tip through the flashing. Then you put the palm of your hand on the spine of the knife, hand open, and push down on the handle. The edge slices through without too much difficulty. Then you just slide the blade in the direction of the cut, and do it again. In this way, you cut through the steel pretty quickly.
This did dull the edge some, but not excessively. No chipping, no rolling, just a bit of dulling. The knife still had an edge.
I do like the M4 in my Gayle Bradley Spyderco better, but, what do you do.
