Hello All,

I am fairly new to the Mnandi world, but I am a complete convert!! I have looked for some hard-use pictures of the Mnandi but haven't exactly found any......I am taking out a 40,000 gallon pool and have been using my various Mnandis to help with the task.....pictures to follow. However, I was wondering if others use these beautiful and hardy folders for tough tasks or if it is just me?? Please post any pictures you have as I'd love to see these knives in their hard-use environment!! Thanks in advance.

i have a few, i can't bring myself to do light duty.....they are still nib...maybe one day i'll start to carry one.. sorry no pic's of hard use.

my 2 go through normal edc-office use as all other edc (small seb, saks, slipjoints) nothing to say, they work fine, are light, hold well (well it's a Ti frame...)
there is no "hard" use for folders for me, just "folder use" and the mnandi holds well, only complaint could be because of the smallish size as sometimes a longer blade is better

I'm afraid your title might come across as a bit of an oxy-moron.

If you mean because rarely are Mnandis(a gentleman's knife) used hard.....I would disagree! While it is a small knife, it is more than capable of hard use.

Oh man, "cringe" is right. For that, I would pull out my Kershaw JunkYardDog 2.2 with D2 composite blade. I think I'm gonna cry. Excuse me.

Make no mistake my friend, I was not doubting its hard use capabilities by any stretch of the imagination. It is a Chris reeve, after all.

However, with regards to how many mnandi owners on this forum actually use theirs under "hard use" - that I feel may be a different story =D

I would agree with you that I don't think most Mnandi owners use the knife to their capabilities......maybe we can help to enlighten then and broaden their horizens!!

I just cut the bag open with it is all, as thats all i had on me at the time, and my cell phone to snap the pic of course. The pic has freaked many people out over the years. You should have seen when i originally posted it awhile back....lol

I know they are well built, but I still reserve hard tasks to my Sebenza or another larger knife. The closest thing my mnandi gets to hard use is cutting open a box

I wouldn't really call that picture hard use, maybe because my definition of hard use is different.
When i say hard use i mean like stabbing the shit out of a TV like i did here.

What does your Strider vid. have to do with anything in this thread or even here in the CRK sub forum ?.......

how's the blade after the can? I assume only a little duller than before, cool pic actually
a friend did it with the nyala some time back, no damages (I prefer can openers for that)

what inlay does it have?

Actually the balde holds up pretty well to stuff like that. It's not actually that much thinner behind the edge than the Sebenza so it is quite a tough little knife. :)

Aye, that's my old Ti inlay beater. :p:thumbup:
