I have two new Sebbies on the way, a classic and a regular. Please post some pics of well used Sebenzas, I would like to see how they hold up over time.

Thanks,

-Mark.

The thing is, Sebs are so tough, you can use them hard and it doesn't really show.
The finish they have doesn't show marks very well either.
Those are the reasons why these threads never yield much, not because people don't 'use 'em hard'.

In an issue of Tactical Knives a couple months back, Steven Dick had pics of his Sebenzas with his editorial. He claims to hard use everything he owns. It was a regular and classic. Use your Sebenza without fear, both of them. They will outlast you, and you can always send them in to CRK for a spa treatment.

Go up to the top (image) sticky and look at Page 24. Posts #462, #463 and #472 give a pretty good indication of what the slabs look like after a few years of wear. Then of course there will be some scratches on the blade and some indication of re-sharpening. That's basically it.

They just sort of take on an overall patina.

Re-blasting the slabs and putting on a nice, crisp edge makes the knife look nearly new. The one other thing would be to have a new stud pressed in.

Personally, I think they look better with wear. It's kind of strange getting one back from the spa... something a little odd and artificial - maybe like a facelift or boob job.

Congrats on your purchase. I have a small classic since 04/19/2008. Here are some pics I took yesterday and this morning. With my sebbie, I feel like is the only knife that is very delicated and is going to break easily.

Dam that steak looks good.

Thanks for posting the pics!

There are a lot of pics of shiny new Sebs I Just wanted to see some edc's...

I got my regular today and it is now in my pocket. I will post a pic of it in about 4-5 years... I intend to use it.

I did have a BG-42 Seb about 6 years ago. It is the one that got away. I sold it too soon...

I have had a regular for about 8 years as a edc, i beat the crud out of it as a truck driver. But honestly it still looks the same as the day i recieved it .It has been banged dropped, scrapped. Thought i lost it many times, ran it over with my eighteen wheeler , then later my delivery truck. Dropped it in the snow, left it in the rain. Hope you non believers are getting the picture, one of the best investments i ever made.

They were really smart about the stonewashed blade and titanium handles because the little scuffs and scratches don't really look out of place. In fact the only thing that sticks out for me in that picture is the slightly ugly "Classic MM" on it. Wish it was a different font or something.

Then the 21 is for you, eh? :D

I'm actually thinking of getting a Regular later this year if they are still around.

I don't use it any differently than I would a $20 Buck.
It's a good thing northern Minnesota lakes are so clean & clear. I dropped it in the lake once (beer), but was able to hook the lanyard with a Rapala. The bottom was rocky in that spot. You could call it a rural pocket knife.
I'm amazed when I think of all it's been through, and then look at it.
The thing just stays new looking.

When your Sebenza drops in the water do you have to re-lubricate? Mine isn't smooth anymore when the pivot area gets wet.

jdowell- glad you got that one back. Great pics.

I would like to see pics of the one that was ran over by a truck twice?

After a week I have a few scratches on the regular, very faint... It was lightly used when I got it. I have not brought myself to use the Classic is it is factory fresh...
