Good afternoon Bladeforums friends. This is a hard use wharncliffe knife in 1084 steel for woodysone woodysone , and because I believe in accountability, I am creating this thread here so he can post in it, which then gives him the ability to provide feedback later on.

Overall length: 8 1/4"
Cutting edge: 3 1/4"
Weight: 6.1 oz

Geometry: ~.024" behind the edge
Primary edge: 15° per side
Microbevel: 20° per side

Thanks for looking!

Hi David, hope you and family are well. I've been enjoying the pics of your knives. Great designs and blade profiles. Really nice work. This is just another fine example. No doubt, woodysone will be Thankful to have this knife. Take care.

TDOG1, thank you so much for the kind words! All I can say is I make what I like, and hope someone else will like them too.

Peace and health to you and yours as well,

David

David, I’ll take this, hope you did a good job on this because it’s in for a work out. Thank you Sir, so far it has been a true pleasure to work with you.

Excellent blade style, and very nice job on the fit and finish. The wharncliffe style knife is my go to knife for all of my leather working.

Thank you for the kind words Scott. I always see my knives' imperfections, so to hear that coming from you is a nice confidence booster.

woodysone woodysone , I hope so too! I'm trying to be a real knife maker here! And the pleasure has been all mine, thank you kindly.

Just received this and it really lives up to everything David says. It fits super in hand and nice weight. Just one complaint, David needs a makers mark!;)

It's coming my friend. Thank you for the very kind words!

woodysone woodysone Martin, I am preparing the .dxf file for your friend's knife, so I checked in to this thread to double check the dimensions. I figured while I'm here, in case anyone is new to the thread or this is all they have seen of my work, I should link to my subforum thread about my maker's mark.
