Very cool. I like what you`ve done with the micarta and tubes.
Darcy:)

The blade is wicked. Did I understand you corectly in that you have a carbon steel core with stainless laminated on the sides?

Thanks guys. This is the first of many more laminated blades to come

That's beautiful! I'm completely new here so bear with me. How many hours do you put into a knife like that?

Diesel - total hours? not really sure... a few hours preparing and forging the laminated billet, a few more hours profiling and grinding the blade, a few more hours heat treating, a few more hours finish grinding, sanding, and polishing, a few more hours cutting, fitting, gluing, and shaping the handle scales... I kinda lose track after I while. But once I account for the materials and consumables - sandpaper, grinding belts, fuel, electricity etc. - I probably still manage to earn at least a dollar an hour for my labor :D

Haha thanks! I wasn't sure if that's something most knife makers keep track of or not. I'm going to be trying my hand at this pretty soon, so for now I'm reading as much as I can and asking dumb questions here and there.

Either way, that's a beautiful knife, excellent job!

Awesome knife. I like the integral guard and the choil. Very nice.
