i just got some special cut piece's from larry at www.galleryhardwoods.com i have been trying differnt places since my knives require differnt sizes than the standard stuff you get at the knife supply places. this stuff is first rate i ordered some special cuts of ironwood and cocobolo and got some snakewood,amboyna, and this spalted stablized maple the has some of the nicest figure i have seen. and very resonable prices. take a look!

Great link, Rhino! I just love wood. I have to admit that it kind of killed me to see an entire maple burl used as the pedestal for a table. Call me weird, but I think the grain of burls inside is usually beautiful. The outside must be a learned appreciation.
