Danbo like. Danbo want. Danbo willing to give up a kidney for one of those. :)

Sitting in the Comp. lab at school totally bored. Seeing a post like Danbo's really cracks me up.:)

Thanks.

NIce knife.

That knife looks like it should make a great camp/bush knife. I really like the lines. Let us know how much you like it after you have used it for a while.

Good piont. For at least the next week I'm going to watching my kidneys now! After all, we know what the desire to have a knife can do to your reason.

Yep, watch those kidneys. Especially those of you who live only a couple hundred miles away(KC). :)

I like that a lot, looks like an excellent field blade. I must plead ignorance on the steel type though, is it stainless?

@Danbo:
I hope you got the email from me. As I said the knife costs $285 plus shipping. Sorry I don't know how much this is in "kidneys" :D ... I will check my six more often than usual though ...

@tknife:
VANADIS 4 by Uddeholm.com is a high performance powder
metallurgical cold work tool steel. VANADIS 4 is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed steel with 8% chromium and therefore it is not considered to be stainless. However the coating protects the steel from the elements with the exception of the edge of course. I guess minimal care is neccessary to keep the edge clean of rust ...

I like to hear that you all seem to like the knife ...

Is the blade hollow with convex edge area, flat with convex edge area or full convex? My eyes claim that the knife is hollow with convex edge area (after lookin the area near guard) but whats the truth?

I like this but would like more if it was shiny.

Too bad that the thread about your knife triplet went mad in general forum. Is the wascovear knife ready? Do you have pics of it?

@Tommi:
Full convex. I guess the coating blurs the fact. But maybe it is difficult to distinguish because this not photo but a "scan" of the knife. I have no pictures of the Vascowear knife as it belongs to a forumite of the messerforum.net, sorry. But there are several forumites over there to claim "Vascowear rules!!!"

Hi!

Last Weekend I did a few tests with my knife.
Chopped dry beech, carved 1/10 " aluminum sheets (though not that extensive), cut magnesium chips, cut cardboard (rather extensive), worked on jellybabies and shaved my forearm after that ... after all I like Vanadis 4. The coating showed no signs of wear either.
