i'm seriously thinking of buying the hardcore grinder, it's supposedly the best. do you guys think it's worth the money, or if it's the best?

For what it is worth, I am saving my money for one! I want a variable speed and was thinking of converting my wilton and saving some bucks. Nope< I am going to spring for the Hardcore! How many knives do we have to sell to pay for it? Not so many and if productivity goes up, how can you afford not to have it. Write it off!!

Have never seen one, How does it compare in horsepower, attachments, price etc to the Bader 3 ? Since the Bader folks came out with the III, their tracking problems are over, That or a wilton is the measurement most of us are familiar with.

i would rate it as better than a burr king.. more versatile (sp?) and more accessories.. although those accessories are a little pricey...but very well made....i took a close look at one at the vegas classic two years ago and finally ordered one last month. still owe about $500 before i can get it shipped...but am stoked....it only costs $100 more than a variable speed burr king, and i think is better built plus the versatility factor and accessories make it a great grinder....when you buy something like this you will use it forever with the satisfaction of knowing you dont need to move up later on....

thanks a ton guys this is very reasuring. if i buy it, i'm going for variable speed with the platen, does it come with the small wheels, becuase they eliminate the need for an osilating spindle sander, that saves me $850. thanks again.

I am biting the bullet and ordering one this week. I have held off too long. Will keep you posted on how it turns out.
