I finally found a nice set of stag scales, but now I need to harden/stablize them.
I got a suggestion to leave them in Thompson's Water Seal for a week. Is that a good remedy, and are there any other "home fixes," or should I just send it off to get done professionally? (and who would I send it to?)
BTW -- I've been reading about the stabilizing equipment, but right now I don't have time to build myself one.
Thanks a bunch.
