Well, as a user, it kinda sux. But I'm hearing they're getting to be collectible (maybe shoulda kept mine, but I got a knife I wanted in trade anyways, and had my 970st since '96). So, my personal probs with it were as follows:
1. Super sloooow opener, you can hear the beadblast Ti grind against the detent ball.
2. Dull, the tungsten carbide applied to the edge is hard, but also incredibly rough, you can see all kinds of bumps and ridges in it, the stuff doesn't sharpen well on anything less than diamond.
3. Chisel grind, friggin' hard to sharpen using a system, so stuck goin' freehand. Doesn't cut straight. YMMV, but I hate chisel grinds.
Even with these negatives, I still wish I had one!!! It's a unique knife, if you want something to hang on to and not for utility, pick it up. It's a well-built bad idea. If you don't get it, someone definitely will.
