If my knife that is 80 crv2 and is very hard does that mean it looses the edge fast? So does a very hard knife loose its edge fast or am i sharpening it wrong?

Edge retention depends on two factors:
Wear resistance. Alloys with carbides are more resistant to wear.
Hardness. A harder blade does not deform as easily, so it retains its edge longer.

80CRV2 is very tough, but it does not have carbides, being fairly similar in carbon content to 1080 carbon steel. It's a good tough steel that would be great on a large chopping knife, but not known for excessively high edge retention.

Another factor to consider, if it seems your edge is degrading faster than you think it should is whether you completely remove the wire edge when sharpening.

If not, that wire edge will roll over and dull immediately when cutting.
