Like many I have been looking for a good deal on a hardness tester, and a local guy has a HR-150a he's willing to let go for pretty cheap, but it is missing the anvil.
Are these things pretty standard? I can't seem to find any for sale that are specifically for a HR-150a, but I was hoping they are a standard size.
Otherwise, it looks like they just slide in without any threads? I was thinking I could also buy one with a large-ish shaft and just thin it out.
But I've never owned a hardness tester before, so I figured I should ask for advice here. Honestly, what the heck happens with all these hardness testers? It seems like most of them I find for sale are missing the anvil, or indentors, or weights, or test blocks!
