Although this was not a link to an auction, it seems that it was not appropriate for me to link to the tester.

Sorry

Stacy,

This was not an auction but it was probably considered deal-spotting. Now i know to avoid it.

Thank you for pointing that out.

No problem , you are fine.
This one is not an auction, and would be OK, but I wanted to point out the policy mainly for any others who might not know. Auction spotting is sort of tolerated when it has a purpose, but is against the forum rules. We all have done it from time to time.

To explain why, lets say Joe the Knifemaker has an anvil he wants to sell. He doesn't have the membership level to sell in the "For Sale" area, and he realizes that more people read the "Shop Talk" forum. So he puts it on ebay, and makes a "Shop Talk" thread saying, " Great Deal on an Anvil", with a link to ebay.......see how this could get out of hand.

We try and keep selling and any threads directly related to selling out of "Shop Talk".

Now, a thumbs up to all the great folks on this sub-forum:
Thanks for being a great group of folks and keeping this area clean and civil. You have made Shop Talk is the number one source for knife making info in the world, IMHO.

Hey Friends,

Well, I for one am sure glad this got posted! I had my machinist cousin (in Merrimack, NH, which is not too far away from the vendor's address) take a look at the vendor's listing to give me his opinion. He said, where he works has three just like it and to SNAG the puppy! If all goes well, and my online purchase goes through, I might just end up having to figure out how to use this contraption. For $50 bucks more it is supposed to be shipped to my folks house in Merrimack.

If anyone has any observations, comments or suggestions about the device; or knows where to get operational or service info or manuals, it would be great!

Mahalo John! Sorry for the heat. ;) Cross your fingers for me. :)

All the best, Phil

Thanks 12345678910. (I'm embarrassed that as long as we've been on BF and made so many posts, I don't know your name. Sorry!) I'll give the vendor a call tomorrow and see what I can find out. I hope I haven't got myself in a bind with a scenario something like you mentioned might be possible. Thanks for the link.

All the best, Phil

If you are going for Rc, You will need a diamond penetrator I have used a machine like this in the past pretty straight forward once you have it set up. Calibrate using the standard, and the read out on the dail is what you get.
