Hardness Testers

I've been looking at hardness testers. I guess the bench models would be the best but my work space is limited. Not sure that the files is what I want either. I have been looking at the hand held units.

So can anyone offer any information on the hand held "c-clamp" type units. Are they good? Are they accurate?
