So... I bought another one... What can I say? I'm an addict.
This time it's a CQC-7V with the stone washed finish. But I really don't like the black hardware with the tan scales and a satin blade. So I want to get ready to do something about it while I await its arrival.
Option A: Polish everything. Cheap; yes. But I'd like opinions on the best way to go about this procedure The pivot will get this treatment no matter what. As I don't want to mess with an integral part of the knife.
Option B: Replace the handle and clip screws. I know the handle screws are 3/8 2-56 and I can get satin screws for a bit of nothing. But I don't know what the clip screw size is. I know it's 2-56 but the length eludes me. And polishing these little buggers sounds like a real PITA.

Sorry, no pics. Just ordered the knife today.

If you call Emerson they may be able to sell you a complete set of satin screws. They only advertise black on the website but sometimes can provide satin.

Whatever you do stay with emerson hardware. It is good stuff. Solid well made.

Polishing those screws took me a bout ten minutes start to finish.

I used wet dry paper at 1000 grit. One could progress through more grits if one were inclined. . .
