Well, this one was a real pleasure to photograph although likely one of the most time consuming due to the many polished areas and pearl. This is Jeff's mini Alpha D/A model (his 2nd one to date I believe). The Alpha design has been a HUGE favorite of mine for many years and when he came out with the mini version I figured it would fit well with the other pieces I have of his. What I love about the Alpha is it's depth (many contours in the handle) and the flow from the handle to to the blade - it is perfect IMO. The handle has satin flats with polished contours and 2 inlays of black lip pearl on each side. The pivot is inlayed with black lip pearl, the backspacer nicely file-worked, and all pieced together with gold screws. The blade of course is perfectly and evenly ground from side to side with a beautiful hand satin finish and a tip that is needle sharp! The auto action is activated by pressing down on the bottom portion of the top front inlay (as seen in one of the pics below). It can also be opened manually via the artistically crafted thumb-hood. Blade length is 3 1/4" and overall length is 7 3/8".
I took many, many, many pics of this piece and narrowed it down to what I felt really displayed all aspects of this model as if it was being admired in your hand.
