I haven't posted in awhile.

...BUT I was in town(Denver) today...looking in some of my favorite shops.

In the case was a Harley Davidson LE Buck 110...$59.95:eek::D:eek:. Of course, I ask to see it:thumbup:.

The blade looked unused, the sheath was a special Harley sheath, tooled, with flames and it had a special box with it. There were some numbers etched on the tang but it didn't have BUCK stamped anywhere. Not sure if the name Buck was even etched.

I must have been shaken:eek:

NOW, comes the kicker. The bolsters, scales and the back had been sanded down:barf: the rivets and rocker pin were flat:...you could see the grinding marks on the liners. The bolsters were smooth and polished and who ever did this dastardly deed replaced the medallion...but didn't polish out the scales, they were dull.

Can't for the life of me figure it out what was up with this knife:confused:...those of you that have HD 110s please tell me that I did good passing on this and that is not the way they were suppose to be:rolleyes:. Preston

Thanks for info. on the HD 110. Maybe some HD 110 collectors will chime in with some pics:thumbup:.

Been doing some shooting...you know you can only do so much with the Bucks, I like the bang. I live fairly close to the range and have a few friends that shoot quite a bit.

Last Buck I bought was an older Camillus, yellow handled Granddaddy Barlow(I think). The one that Buck turned down, so Camillus ground off the hammer and bolt logo and the Buck tang stamp but left the BUCK on the bolster.

I'm thinking about Post Falls...lots to consider...not that I wouldn't like to be there. It's the getting there, gas will be awful, awful spendy! I just don't know. Preston

Hey Mr. P...
I have a HD Buck from 1998 (95th Anniv)...it looks and feels like a 110...nothing for me to think otherwise. Stamped and serial numbered.
Sounds, to me, like you did good in passing it by.

As Decaf Dave said, glad to hear from you Mr. P. :)
Hope all is well.
As for the HD Buck. I only have the one. But I have seen 'em in stores...different versions of the 110...your mileage may vary, but all the ones that I have seen have "BUCK" on the tang.

Decaf, regret to say that I will not be at Post Falls. :(
