Who has one? Do you carry it, or is it just part of the collection?

Just got one in a trade(Satin/plain edge), I have always liked the clip point as a blade and have a couple of customs with clip points.

I like this blade, about 4" of D2 - Mmmmmhhhhh, could do with some pimpin though?????

Alu handle gotta go, and the big question arises, "TO PIMP OR NOT TO PIMP"

Suggestions please/ it is known that I am most partial to CF.

Cheers,
Guy

Do it, the style of knife combined with the size, go to town! Worst case you'll end up with something pretty with great scales that just doesn't quite work aesthetically.

I was thinking of maybe a little coffin tail, maybe a little slimmer in the center too. nothing too drastic, the Blade stays as is.

Clip point, coffin tail- pure, classic, Americana knife style??? er with CF though

I pimped mine a tiny bit. I have the Mini. Its my favorite BM axis locker. The thread on mine is in my forum here in the makers section

Aluminum could be fun with home anodization, looking back, I wish I had tried it.

Ahh, I was thinking sanding the scales down, on that blade I think g-10 would look better.

As you said this, I got to thinking about the anodising, could be cool, How did this classic shape of Americana Knifedom end up on a Harley - what a bad ass blade, so comfy to use, really impressed with the grind and how thin it gets to the edge, barly any effort to get this hair poppin on the DMT 600 Red stone.

I think you are right about the G10 though, no need for CF bling when the Mickey Rourke is what we are trying to move away from with the Pimp.
Forest Green maybe? with darker backspacer and a deep rider pocket clip, very RECONDO of the Vietnam era.

Cannot believe this design, so good in the hand, comfy, no hotspots, just the pointy things on the tail bug me- I prefer the more classic rounded shapes or a little coffin. But never the less, she is a worker with old school D2, fantastic.

Hmmm came right up for me with the search engine for blade forums on google. http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=011197018607028182644:qfobr3dlcra and the search engine here on the forums . http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...avidson-Mini-HardTail?highlight=mini+hardtail

Thanks, looks good. I like the mods to your scale with the matching lines to the clip, subtle and cool. your deep rider clips would be cool too.

I agree that it should have better texture on the Alu

I went through your thread, and agree that for the price point, it offers no more than any other Benchmade.

I scored two on a trade, I like the blade, they were sitting in a Harley Dealership, never got picked up(one got a knock) and the knife dealer brought them back and wanted to change stock, one Bone Collector and a CPM D2 millie later, ce voila - stout knife.

Jeez Benchmade has got details locked down. Between those and the hardware on the Rift they blow away comparably priced knives that I've seen.
