Started this roughly a month ago. Hardtail, wide glide, fishtails, Delkron shortblock with a massaged top end, andrews cam, tombstone tail, floor boards from an old knucklehead yada yada yada. A mix of old and new that rides like crap, is loud and annoys those with delicate feelings. I liked most of what was on the bike as it sat but needed to make some changes.

After 27 hours (in one weekend) at a friends shop. Whole new wiring harness, wrapped pipes, yanked the rear seat, no turn signals, fluid changes/tune up, new clutch and primary chain, some paint, 21in front spoke and a few other odds and ends.

Not done quite just yet but I like it.

I like it a lot better now:thumbup:But I'd lose the ape hangers if it were mine.:D

Lookin' good, Aaron. I'm more of a drag bar guy myself though. Those ape-hangers would wear me our to quick. I prefer to lean forward a bit more than rearward......plus, I'm just not badass enough to pull it off:D:D

I'm up in the air (pun intended) over the apes. I've always liked them strapped to a wide glide, but a set of low pull backs might look good.......I'd have to redo some wiring and cables though. Aircleaner is getting the boot as soon as the new one gets here (big round one)

I see that you lost the bitches' seat...Good deal...Make 'em walk.:D.:D.

i've always thought the 'apes looked cool but sucked for driving the thing, they hurt my arms and shoulders after a few minutes.

looking good though,

Its looking good.. BIG difference...
Not real big on wrapped pipes unless its a race bike JMO. How about black pipes ?

Nice. You'll need a pair of these to walk home, when that bike leaves you on the side of the road. Been there, done that.

darned harleys............really the new ones arent too bad, but back when i was a kid and AMX owned harley they were pretty bad, a lotta reliability issues to put it mildly.
