Hi guys. This knife has been done for a couple of weeks, but my computer has been on the fritz... so downloading photos and processing was on hold for a while. Now, for some unknown reason, the computer has agreed to start working ... so here goes.

Some Stats:
Length: 9-13/16"
Blade : 4-7/8" (Tip to choil)
Steel: W-2 (from Aldo)
Handle: Desert Ironwood scales with Black G10 liners and Corbies

This knife is quite beefy, with a spine thickness of ~1/4" at the front of the scales, and a dramatic distal taper to compensate. The back edge is sharp. I had never used Corbies before, but they seemed to be a good fit for this design.

Thanks for looking.

Really good looking handle from both aesthetic and ergonomic perspectives. As Joe, I was wondering if the tang was tapered?
Personally, I don't care for the blade shape.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Joe/Kevin... the tang is tapered; both distally and from the spine of the handle to the front. This happens very naturally when grinding this shape of knife without plunges. It seems I should have taken more detail photos. I'll try to remedy that. :)

Great looking Knife Erin.
Seems like each knife you make gets even better.
Whoever grabs this in the exchange is going to be very happy.

Thanks again for the feedback guys. The computer is cooperating with me today, so I was able to add a couple more photos to the OP that give more detail on the handle and tang.

Mark... I hope that is true. I'd like to think that I get a bit better as I go. I'm in the process of finishing a sheath for one today that is a close sibling to the one you got from me -- slightly different fittings and redwood burl instead of bog oak -- but very similar. And speaking of redwood burl... that last piece you sent me is fantastic. I see a big Bowie in its future. :D
