I just got a buck hartshook and it is a sweet little knife. My complaint with so many neck knives is that they tend to be really heavy and make a large imprint under the shirt.

this baby is super light and make little to no imprint.

Plus, it slices like crazy.

Take care,
Brett

I bought one a few months ago, and it is genuinely a very nice, handy knife. However, it was a little more dimunitive than I expected, and I found that incorporating the fob is necesary to get a good grasp on it. I believe that it is a little to small to be a neck knife, but it fits in the watch pocket nice. It's a tough little beast, that's for sure. Buck did do bad marekting it as a last resort weapon- I don't think that I could really see it excel in that role. I wish they would make a scaled up version (maybe with a 2.75" blade).
There is a good chance that I will be buying one as a gift in the not to distant future.

a bigger version would be nice also.:) i have just never used or owned a neck knife.....me being a traditional archer you would think i would own a dozen or so.....this little knife has gotten a bit of attention among some of my longbow/ recurve buddies....(and they all carry the custom, expensive ones)

I have 3 and wouldn't have it any other way. I carry one every day while on duty in my shirt pocket. It is a nice little cutting tool. I wrapped the handle in a nice somewhat contoured turk head style knot. It gives a lot of purchase and you don't need the lanyard. In order to have it this way, the old style sheath is needed. Bailebr3, I put together all of my arrows with it last year. Very handy for fletching.

UPDATE:

I have been carrying this little guy in my RF pocket and it's a great little tool. I have used it to scrape stuff, cut my apples, clean my fingernails, etc.

A nice little tool. Would it replace my main folder? No. But it's a great addition.

youre right it is good for scrapping old feathers/glue off shafts. nice little working blade:)

I wish they made a slightly bigger version, 2" blade. Feels like a fixed blade SAK classic to me

2" to 2 1/2" blade would be nice it is just too small for me the size it is. Keep it thin and light though.
