Here is a lovely by Harvey Dean, MS delivered September 2012

Harvey calls it a "Fitzpatrick Dogbone or American Dogbone"

Blade 10 1/8" of 15N20 and 1075, "w" pattern that was feathered, OAL 14 3/4"

Twist pattern fittings of 15N20 and 1075

Handle material fossil walrus ivory

Studs 18k yellow gold, 24k yellow gold inlay

All engraving by maker, gold inlay.

Sheath is textured(by Harvey to mimic old presentation bowie scabbards) heavy leather, sewn up the back, nickel silver fittings.

Elegantly different knife with very classic touches.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

that's a hell of a package- sole authorship no less!
Harvey's bowie at AKI last year was probably the most nicely balanced knife I've ever experienced.
Regards to Phil please!

Oh man, that is exceptional no doubt! Beautiful work, congrats to Harvey and Phil.

Very few knives feel as good in hand to me as a Dean El Diablo. I bet this one feels great too.

Thanks for the pic.

Very impressive Bowie and sheath. Saw this image some time ago and was wondering who the lucky owner was.
Thanks for posting it.

Saw that on Chuck's site - wow, what an outstanding piece in every respect. Congrats to Phil.

Wow! Absolutely stunning piece. Harvey and Phil should be very pleased and proud.

I can hardly wait for the "Bowie of Year" voting blood bath.

Elegant from stem to stern, look at the tip of the blade sweeping up.
Thanks for posting, STeven !
Congratulations, Phil Lobred !

Lol @ Peter's "bloodbath" comment. :D

Wow there is so much going on there it is hard to get your head around it all but it all goes together so well a great tribute to the knives of the past and present

I knew there was a reason I like that man

Nice! I like it quite a bit better than his Bowie from AKI 2011 - and that was a very fine knife.

What I really dig on this one is the engraving along the end of the tang.
