Harvey Dean

Yup and it is tough to beat, sure would be hard to find finer. The man seems to win a major award every year. I especially like his D guards.

Thank you I guess I'll have to check into having him do something for me. Especially since he's just down the road

I attended Harvey's instruction in hidden tang handle construction at the Hammer-in in Albany. He is one of the best of the best in knifemaking, and a real gentleman. His knives were so nice, I was afraid to touch them!

Texas,

You'll have plenty of time to think about what you want.

Harvey is running about 18 - 24 months behind (I think even a few orders are 3 years out).

He is easily one of the top 5 ABS Mastersmiths and an all around excellent knife maker.

One of his knives would be an excellent addtion to anyone's collection.

I had no idea. I heard of him thru a friend I mentioned havin a knife made and he told me about a good ol boy he grew up with that makes knives. I guess my neighbor does know what he's talkin about sometimes. LOL

Thanks to everybody for the input

If your friend has an in with Harvey, do you think you could pull a few strings for me?:D

This guy is about as good as it gets.

He sure does, Harvey is a "Good Ol Boy" and makes one heck of a knife, about as good as they get.
